08/14/2019 | North-Western Phosphorous Company Congratulates Koashva Settlement Residents with Settlement Day

Koashva celebrated its Settlement Day last weekend with festivities marking 41 years since its founding.

The day opened with congratulations. NWPC CEO Evgeni Sozinov acknowledged those who were at the origins of the settlement, those who live here now, and also future generations who will continue the history of the northern region. Mr Sozinov also expressed his hope that local residents will continue to see development and further prosperity.

The celebration brought together all Koashva residents of all ages, and Kirovsk mayor Vadim Turchinov visited the settlement with a message of congratulations.

North-Western Phosphorous Company presented local families with new babies with a set of educational children’s games. Children were invited to draw their families for the Settlement of My Dreams contest. And NWPC presented a large plasma TV to the winners. After the official part of the ceremony was over, the stage opened to performing artists.

NWPC and the Kirovsk administration execute partnership agreements each year. Over twelve years of cooperation, the Company has transferred approximately RUB 600 million to the Kirovsk budget. In 2019, under the social and economic partnership agreement, NWPC will transfer over RUB 95 million to the Kirovsk budget.
