In March 2019, North-Western Phosphorous Company expanded its fleet of open pit vehicles with a new PC2000 Komatsu excavator.

The PC2000 is a crawler mining excavator with 12-m3 bucket for loading rocks and ore. Its 956-hp engine meets Tier 2 emission regulations in effect in Russia and globally. The bucket teeth have a unique shape for efficient digging up to 10 metres deep.

This model has an installed VHMS system for monitoring the vehicle’s technical condition and remote status analysis.

This is the second excavator of its type operating at the Oleniy Ruchey open pit mine.
