NWPC (a member of Acron Group) has introduced the ‘Acron.Patrol’ mobile solution for time-efficient equipment monitoring at its processing plant in Murmansk region.
Maintenance workers use the app to monitor equipment during walkdowns and inspections, and to record any deviations in equipment parameters. With this solution, employees can promptly detect safety issues at monitored facilities through direct visual inspection and instrumental evaluation of equipment.
During safety walks before inspecting process equipment, pipelines, pumps and units, workers now scan installed NFC tags with a mobile terminal. This has significantly reduced walkdown time and increased data accuracy. The app is fully integrated with the equipment maintenance and repair module of the Group’s ERP IAS system.
Alexander Pislegin, NWPC Deputy CEO, said, ‘To date, we have introduced the mobile patrol solution at the processing plant’s crushing and flotation facilities, where we have developed two routes comprising 129 tags in total. The new solution has helped us reduce the costs of emergency responses and equipment downtime, as well as enhance performance and process discipline’.
